Wachusett Region Recycling Events – 11/2/13

It will soon be November. Hopefully by then the World Series will be over and we’ll have the winning team.

The West Boylston Boy Scout Troop 151 will hold their redeemable bottle and can drive at the Major Edwards Elementary school, Crescent Street, West Boylston, MA, on Saturday, November 9th from 10am-1pm. All bottles and cans that are returnable in Massachusetts are accepted.

ReFoamIt will be at Shrewsbury’s Floral Street School from This Saturday, November 2, from 11am to 3pm, collecting #6 plastics, aka Styrofoam. The cost is $1 per bag and $5 per carload. This event is open to the public and accepts plastic items like packing blocks, foam coffee cups, meat/produce trays, takeout containers – any item that has the #6 and PS on it.

Donate your no longer needed winter coats to Jordan Furniture’s One Warm Coat program. Any coats that are in wearable condition are accepted. Your coat will be professionally dry cleaned at Anton’s Cleaners and donated to someone in need. Coats can be dropped off at any Anton’s Cleaners or Jordan’s Furniture location.

America Recycles Day is November 15th this year. This day is designed to bring attention to recycling. Last year, over 3.7 millions pounds of goods were recycled during 2000+ events. Check their website to join an event or hold one of your own.
