Wachusett Region Recycling Events – 10/26/13

The DEA is holding its National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day this Saturday, October 26th from 10am to 2pm. Bring any unwanted prescription drugs to any drop off location. It will be accepted free of charge and anonymously. You can check their website for a collection location near you. Right now, the Holden and Shrewsbury police departments are listed. More locations will be added over time.

Also this Saturday, #6 plastics can be recycled by bringing them to ReFoamIt’s next recycling event, which will be held at Grace Church in Framingham (76 Salem End Road) on from 10am to 3pm. Any foam that has a number 6 and the letters PS on it can be brought for recycling. This event is open to the public. Check out ReFoamit’s site to learn what they accept and for the schedule of future events.

Donate your no longer needed winter coats to Jordan Furniture’s One Warm Coat program. Any coats that are in wearable condition are accepted. Your coat will be professionally dry cleaned at Anton’s Cleaners and donated to someone in need. Coats can be dropped off at any Anton’s Cleaners or Jordan’s Furniture location.

America Recycles Day is November 15th this year. This day is designed to bring attention to recycling. Last year, over 3.7 millions pounds of goods were recycled during 2000+ events. Check their website to join an event or hold one of your own.
