Wachusett Region Recycling Events-10/6/12

RecycleBowl registration is now open! Any elementary, middle or high school in the US and District of Columbia can enter to compete either against all schools in the nation or all schools in their home state. During the collection tracking period, keep track of your school’s onsite recycling efforts and log it on the RecycleBowl website (because only onsite recycling counts in this competition, schools that participate in community recycling are not eligible to participate). Win a gift card just for completing your online reporting or win up to $1000 by recycling the most material. See their website for rules and the list of acceptable materials. Registration ends on October 9th.

Terracycle is challenging its brigade participants to create a upcycled ‘box that rocks’ in their 2012 Box that Rocks competition. Upcycling is when useful materials are re-purposed rather than discarded. Entries are accepted until October 15th.
