Where to Recycle Neosporin Tubes

Many of us have a tube of Neosporin in our medicine cabinets. It’s something we don’t think about until we need it, and we may not need it that often. But, like other medications, Neosporin loses it’s effectiveness over time and it does have an expiration date on it. Earlier this year Neosporin teamed up with TerraCycle to keep tubes of expired Neoporin and any other brand of antibiotic ointment out of the landfill. Go to TerraCycle’s website to start or join a recycling brigade. Collect your tubes (they must be empty), print out mailing labels via TerraCycle’s website, and send your tubes for recycling. You might find it makes sense to get your school, workplace, or neighborhood to join you and increase the number of tubes collected and recycled. Check out TerraCycle’s website for more information about their brigades.
