How to Recycle Greeting Cards

I have the same problem each holiday season – I buy new sets of Christmas cards each year but never use them all. The next year, I can’t remember who received which cards. But I don’t want to throw them out or put them in my paper recycling because they are still useful. One idea for recycling greeting cards is to trade with your friends. Each person creates groups of a certain amount of cards and their matching envelopes which can then be traded with someone else for their set of cards.

Another option is to send cards or fronts of cards to the St. Jude’s Ranch Recycled Card Program. The kids in the program create new cards out of the card fronts and all cards are sold through St. Jude’s. Send cards to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, Recycled Card Program, 100 St Jude’s Street, Boulder City, NV 89005.
