Where to Recycle Canine Items

Sweetpea-Friends of Rutland Animals is always looking for unopened cans or bags of dog food, new or gently used dog toys, collars/harnesses, leashes, general cleaning supplies, trash bags, and absorbent blankets for use in the shelter. Sweetpea is a no-kill non-profit animal shelter. Call (508) 886-6191 or email d20havedogs@aol.com to arrange a drop-off time.

The Sterling Animal Shelter is accepting donations of cell phones and ink cartridges which they will return for recycling to raise money for the shelter. They are also looking for the following items: cat litter, cleaning supplies, liquid laundry detergent, liquid hand soap, paper towels, paper plates, newspaper, old towels and blankets, and cut, split and seasoned fire wood. They are located at 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564 and can be reached at 978-422-8585.

The Worcester Animal Rescue League (139 Holden, St., Worcester, MA; 508.853.0030) is always looking for dog and cat toys as well as the following items:  blankets, towels, leashes, collars, dry or canned food. They will also accept empty printer cartridges and cell phones which they send along to another companies that will pay them for the items.
